₱125M fund supports South Cotabato’s no collection policy
The allocation funds school operations, social services, and educational assistance across South Cotabato.
South Cotabato allocates ₱125 million annually for education and social services under its no-collection policy aimed at easing students’ and families’ financial burden.
The fund covers school operations, classroom equipment, social services, and educational assistance for youth across the province.
Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. said the allocation also provides schools with resources for essential needs, including electric fans, without relying on contributions from families.
“No collection policy kita. Ang funds nga ginhatag naton sa ila, enough para magbakal electric fan tuig-tuig,” Tamayo said.
The annual allocation excludes personnel hiring expenses. Schools that do not comply with the provincial government’s zero-collection framework risk having their funding withdrawn.
